You never realize how much you use a back seat to hold shit until your “back seat” consists of a 3-4 inch wide area behind your front seat and your only other option is in the passenger seat or in the bed to roll around loose.

I also never realized how often I need to move three or more people.

What I’m saying is, I bought this:

Kinja'd!!!

Beige on beige with chrome bump guards and wheel arch trim. Old man special af.

I maybe should’ve bought this:

Kinja'd!!!

Or a Blazer. Though I need a bed to move my tool box to and from school and my dealership.

I’m pretty shit at buying cars that fit my needs I’ve noticed. Oh well. S10 ain’t going nowhere soon with its unicorn status.

Or you just don’t have a back seat period.

Didn’t those come in an extended cab model? That would make the best sense.

Although I’m guilty of driving a crew cab diesel Silverado (now with known trashed ball joints and bushings).

I say I want a coupe but I’m pretty sure I’d loose it not having lots of space

They did, but that doesn’t solve the ability to move more than one other person thing because all they have is one stupid jump seat in the back a 10 year old can barely use.

I don’t think I could ever live with a true two seat coupe. I need places to toss my backpack and other assorted shit.

I see enough storage space for a backpack and such without putting it on the passenger seat.

Brah, if you’re going to take a picture of your window sticker, make sure to take the moonshine still out of the frame. ;-)

Well it is a baby hatchback, which is helpful. But I throw my day to day bag in the passenger footwell.

I always said that but then drove a boxster for 3 years with no problem, had nothing besides mid size SUVs before that. Now I am living the wagon life style which is the ultimate solution

I learned that lesson with my first truck (not this one, but same year, make, model, and color).

Kinja'd!!!

The only difference was the dealer-installed blue stripe on mine.

My next truck was an extended cab. It’s just about the perfect compromise. Just enough room for extra gear without the need for a bed cap.

Not trying to be an ass,

Why is yours unicorn status?

4.3 manual in a single cab, short bed truck. Most manuals in the first place came with the 2.2, and most single cab short beds are 2.2s. So having a manual V6 in a single cab short bed is really, really uncommon.

My next one is definitely going to be an extended or crew cab. And fullsize.

I experienced the same thoughts on the issue when I bought my truck. Fortunately in my case, I own two four door cars that can be used for hauling people instead of stuff

Umm...ride in the bed? Heck, that’s how all of us at the office get to lunch.

I bought a Double Cab Long Bed Tacoma and you know what? I’m still getting used to not having a “trunk”. There are so many items too small to go in the bed, and too dirty to go in the back seat. I am currently contemplating how to make a small box to go into the bed. Perhaps a similar box or tool box in your bed would help solve your issue too?

Friend of mine had that same unicorn for a while, in Red with four wheel drive. Took him quite a while to find it.

I’ve got the same truck, except mine’s the base model no-options work truck. A roll-up bed cover fixes the space issue, and you get to keep those wonderful regular cab proportions.
